While the advances in science and technology has lifted a section of the human society to heights of economic empowerment. Over a billion people live in extreme poverty and suffer from preventable diseases, polluted water sources, lack of education and other severe cyclical hardships. With a view to search solutions to the wide variety of current and emerging policy issues related to ending extreme poverty in urban and rural area, the policy research area proposes to undertake research and analysis in partnership with committed stakeholders, providing affordable and science-based solutions to help people lift themselves out of extreme poverty and fight the root causes: hunger and malnutrition, access to health care, water, sanitation, energy, trade barriers, gender equality, access to education and so forth. This effort is envisaged to bringing forward a better understanding about the felt needs of the various sections and thereby frames policies for successful implementation.
